A wise sage once said that to err is human but to really cock things up requires a computer. No truer a phrase has e’er been uttered. There was a time when I could live without online backup but those days have gone. I should not know how to organise my files and back them up but sadly I do. Necessity has turned me into a geek and I resent it.
There was once a time when the major inconvenience a writer faced was if the ink spilt. If this horror struck the writer would be unfortunate enough to lose a section of his writing. Now we don’t ruin our work with a mere ink spillage instead we wipe the lot. And it’s always the most important piece of work that you have completed all week.
